Managing RBAC Cross Multiple Kubernetes Clusters

Alena is a Principal Software Engineer at Rancher Labs, who’s been working on building infrastructure services first for Virtual Machines, now for containers with main focus on Kubernetes. Speaker at Kubecon USA 2016, 2017 and Kubecon EU 2018, she enjoys helping others make sense of problems and explore solutions together. Goldwind is the 3rd largest wind turbine manufacturer in the world, having deployed 28,500 wind turbines world-wide and contributed to 9040 meg tons of CO2 reductions annually. Wind turbines need to be centrally monitored regardless where they are installed in the world. On the other hand, weather data process and AI technologies must be deployed at the edge in order to predict power output for a cluster of turbines.

We will discuss how Goldwind uses Kubernetes and container technologies to solve these technical challenges and explain how Goldwind utilizes Kubernetes clusters both in central data centers and in edge locations. Be sure to attend the KubeCon keynote on Nov. 14th to learn more.
