Announcing The Rancher Trusted Ranch Hand Program

What is the Trusted Ranch Hand Program?

The Rancher community is 30,000+ strong and growing fast! In order to continue growing and nurturing our vibrant open source community, we’ve created the Trusted Ranch Hand Program. Trusted Ranch Hands are a select group of knowledgeable ranchers ready, willing, and able to help other Ranchers as we all adopt DevOps practices and principles using Rancher, Kubernetes, and related technologies that help us all Run Kubernetes Everywhere!

The program is also a great way for Rancher to recognize our most giving community members – those who are most actively involved in the Rancher Slack workspace, the Rancher forums and other communities (e.g. StackOverflow, GitHub).

What Does a Trusted Ranch Hand Do?

Rancher Trusted Ranch Hands are regularly engaged on the Rancher Slack workspace, Rancher Forums and other communities. They’re also creating content to help others (e.g. Blogs, Videos, Help Guides). Ranch Hands also report issues into GitHub and contribute code as they are able. Some are even joining us on future Rancher RanchCasts to teach and discuss DevOps principles, Kubernetes technologies, and techniques they’ve learned in the trenches.

How About You?

We’ve been incubating the program for some time and now we’re ready to formally roll it out. If you like to help others you may be an ideal Ranch Hand. We have a community of tens of thousands and we need your help. Our goal is to have people all over the world tackling DevOps, Kubernetes, and Rancher together!

If you’re interested, you can apply here.

In addition to the satisfaction of helping others, as a Rancher Trusted Ranch Hand you’ll be featured on our Rancher Trusted Ranch Hands page, have the opportunity to present on future episodes of the Rancher RanchCast, and receive some cool custom swag!

We will also showcase and promote your personal content using Rancher social media platforms. There will be more benefits as this program evolves, and you’ll be first in line as an early contributor to the program.

We look forward to hearing from you!
